Team of the Week
The 7th Starfish have had a fantastic fun filled season so far. Although results have been mixed the players approach every game with our team catch phrase in mind, play hard, play fair & have FUN!!!!
Saturday’s game was no exception with the local derby against our Wednesday night training partners the Penguins.
The game was a very hard fought affair with the players once again giving their all in a thrilling match.
The final 0-0 result was a fair indication & the game was played in fantastic spirit with both teams appearing to enjoy the competition & absolutely no quarter was given to training buddies.!!!! If anything the physical side was more evident although in a very good spirited way.
Our player of the day was hard to select as everyone gave 100% but was well deserved by Jacob for outstanding tackling & general play.
On another note we are very lucky to have a group of incredibly supportive parents who make the whole exercise an enjoyable experience for the players & coach, thanks folks.
The players have developed some good skills & friendships this year & are enjoying playing, long may it continue.

Note from the club. This is Greg’s first year of
coaching and he has done a great job with the Starfish in 2007. The club is very
grateful for his efforts and we look forward to many more years of coaching
